Secant pile construction is a highly effective method used in deep excavation and foundation engineering, especially in areas where ground stability and water control are critical. This technique involves constructing intersecting concrete piles—primary and secondary piles—that create a continuous, durable wall. The construction process typically begins with drilling and casting primary piles using weaker concrete. Once these set, secondary piles made from stronger reinforced concrete are installed, cutting into the primary piles to form a tight, interlocking structure. This overlapping ensures greater stability and improved waterproofing.
